That's some crazy eye makeup.
It's hard to believe a image with so much red can have so much detail.
I have a weakness for redheads much like moths have a weakness for fire.

Same here... I LOVE painting red hair too.
The reason I chose to incorporate so much red, was because of the makeup and hair in the reference.
I then decided to put some of those colors in the background as well, to make the face pop out more :D
