This is one of those paintings that wandered on my harddisk for ages, left unfinished.
And working on a big project you sometimes find the need to take a breath of fresh air and do something different.
Found this .psd and got a spur of inspiration and actually managed to save another painting from eternal unfinished limbo :D

I do recall using a reference for the pose, but I can't, for the life of me, remember which one. Though I do believe it was a sculpture...
So if you recognize your sculpture, please contact me and I will give you proper credit!!!

**EDIT** Reference found!! Its a Mark Newman sculpture!
Thanks to ~bluedevilsinger

Thank you so much!
I really love painting hair, and this painting was like a birthday-party as far as that goes.

I know exactly what you mean about getting a breath of fresh air. I'm currently working on a piece but I'm sort of waiting for some inspiration to finish it. I still haven't finished my Kobe Bryant piece and the problem is the lack of inspiration on that one too lol. The Bow and Arrow is what caught my eye. Pretty cool.

I've gone through those "dry spells" myself. Sometimes even for months... It's very hard not to let those demotivate you, but you should just keep on painting. Or at least sketching/doodling/scribbling.
You never know when inspiration might hit you :)
